KATHMANDU : A girl has died due to a lightning strike in Dailekh.
The deceased has been identified as Sharmila Kandel, 12, of Torimul, Bhairavi Rural Municipality-6 of Dailekh .
According to Dailekh Chief District Officer Khemraj Bhusal, Kandel, who was injured in the incident, died on the way to a hospital.
According to him, she was injured in the lightning strike at around 2:40 on Saturday afternoon.
Kandel had gone to graze her goats near her house when she was injured in the lightning strike.
